3rd Grade Math Review: Day 6


In yesterday's post we looked at multiplication, division, and two-step problems. Today we are still within Reporting Category 2, Computations and Algebraic Relationships, learning how to represent addition and subtraction and the relationship between multiplication and division facts.


Representing Addition and Subtraction

In the third grade, students are asked to not only add addition and subtraction problems but also to represent them with equations and pictorial models, including strip diagrams. Watch the video below for more information.

With that information fresh in your mind, try these problems from a released STAAR test.

Multiplication and Division Facts

As students begin to learn and memorize their multiplication facts, they should also relate them division facts at the same time. Here's a short video explaining this math standard.
