5th Grade Math Review: Day 11

Updated: Apr 28, 2020

In yesterday's post we reviewed spent a little more time on volume and learned how to classify 2-D shapes into subsets using attributes. If you weren't able to catch the live stream with the answers, you can watch it here. Today we finish Reporting Category 3 - Geometry and Measurement by learning about a brand new concept and skill for 5th graders, graphing on a coordinate plane.

Coordinate Plane

5th graders have probably never seen anything like this prior to this year. Pay close attention to the video below and use its information to answer all 3 practice problems from the released STAAR test.

It's extremely important for 5th graders to have a solid understanding of this concept before going to middle school. Try to solve these problems to test your knowledge.

Correct Answers Tonight (4/8/20) at 8:00 pm (CDT), I'll live stream from my YouTube channel to go over the answers to these three practice problems. Make sure you've already worked them out ahead of time. I can answer questions you might have in the stream chat and I'll put the recording on my channel and in this post for anyone that couldn't watch it live. If you haven't done so already, you can subscribe to the channel to get notifications for live streams and new videos that I post.

Here's the live stream with the answers and explanations.
